The Renaissance Phuket is a “lifestyle resort” – its offerings are nearly “all-inclusive” and include five upscale restaurants, a pool, gym, spa, and stunning ocean views. The real draw of the hotel is its location along Mai Khao beach, arguably the quietest tourist beach in all of Phuket. Honeymooners, and families looking for a weekend escape are the most common types found at the Renaissance Phuket.

Renaissance Phuket Rooms & Villas

The facilities are top-notch, and the service is truly five-star. The hotel offers Deluxe Rooms, One-Bedroom Suites, One-Bedroom Pool Villas, One-Bedroom Oceanfront Pool Villas, and Three-Bedroom Oceanfront Pool Villas. The “Oceanfront” pool villas are the best value. While these villas are slightly more expensive, they are closer to the beach, and further away from the hotel’s pool area, restaurants and “Kids World.” Each villa offers a private infinity  pool, and these villas are as secluded as advertised, completely private, meaning that the public is not privy to the happenings in your pool area. The villas are numbered – any villa numbered 10 or higher offers the most privacy and seclusion.

Restaurants On-Site

Restaurant choices outside of the resort are very limited, which many won’t be upset by, as the hotel offers five great upscale choiceds, with Loca Vore, Takient, and Sand Box being the top choices. Takient is the resort’s traditional Thai choice, though it’s not a standout. Sand Box is the resort’s poolside bar and cafe, and is a great choice for lunch, or a late night drink. Many guests find that the music pumping out of the restaurant can interrupt late night ambiance, so if peace and quiet is what you’re looking for, ask for a villa that’s far away from Sand Box

For those looking for shopping, entertainment, and easy access to Phuket’s nightlife, this is not the place for you. The Renaissance Phuket is a 45 minute drive to Patong, and Phuket’s active shopping and nightlife areas. Many guests rent a car, and make day trips into the tourist areas of Patong to better experience Thai entertainment, shopping, and culture. The nearest shopping center, Turtle Village, is a short ride from the hotel, and offers standard clothing and souvenir fare. Blue Canyon Golf Club is located about 20 minutes away from the hotel.
