Vesak Day Thailand

Vesak Day Thailand (Visakha Bucha), like Vesak Day 2012 in other countries is a time to celebrate the birth, life and death of Buddha.

During the end of May, you’ll find celebrations and festivities honoring Buddha.  People will congregate around the temples to give thanks an pray during this time.  Monks will be dressed in their traditional saffron robes and lead congregations in teachings and sermons.

A tradition that is customary in during the day leading up to Vesak Day Thailand is the people will clean their homes in preparation for the holiday.
